Blue Raiders remain at No. 12 for sixth straight rating period
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team continues its stay at No. 12 spot in the latest NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top-25 Poll, released on Tuesday by NAIA officials.
The Blue Raiders remained at No. 12 for the sixth consecutive week after opening the season at No. 13 in the preseason poll.
Lindsey Wilson picked up 224 voting points from the national raters during this voting period.
Lindsey Wilson is 18-5 overall after winning the Mid-South Conference Tournament two weeks ago in convincing fashion in Lexington, Ky.
The Blue Raiders earn the MSC's automatic bid into the NAIA National Tournament which begins May 15 in Mobile, Ala.
Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University (22-1) stays atop the national poll with 343 voting points and all 13 first-place votes. Embry-Riddle (Fla.) University (18-3) is No. 2 in the poll with 332 voting points followed by No. 3 Oklahoma Christian University with 318 voting points.
The poll is voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each conference, the independents and unaffiliated groups. The final poll is scheduled to be announced on Monday, May 7.
The NAIA is scheduled to release its national tournament brackets on Tuesday, May 8.
