Final round scheduled for Tuesday at Maywood

BARDSTOWN, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College sophomore Kaitlin Allan shot a four-over par 76 today to lead the Mid-South Conference Championships at the midway point at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood.

The Blue Raiders are second following their opening-round team-total of 341. Lindsey Wilson sits 13 shots off the pace of University of the Cumberlands' 328. The final round is scheduled for tomorrow.

Allan (39-37) recorded a tournament-best five birdies today on the 5,840-yard Maywood course. The five birdies matched the team total by Cumberlands and one more than Campbellsville University -- who is in third place after today's 359.

Allan leads Cumberlands' Liz Stephens and Shannon Bishop -- both shot 81s today -- by five strokes. Cumberlands' Laura Beth Harris and McKinzie Price are tied for fourth with 82s.

Lindsey Wilson's Kelsey Joslyn is tied for eighth overall in the 43-woman field after carding an 85 (43-42) today. Jennifer MacKinnon is tied for 11th with an 86 (42-44) and Paola Gonzalez is tied for 20th with a 94 (46-48).

Candace Stacy rounds out the Blue Raider quintet with a 97 (53-44), good enough for a tie for 23rd. Meghan Mays -- playing as an individual -- is tied for 33rd with a 103 (53-50).

The MSC Tournament is part of the NAIA's Unaffiliated Group No. 4 Tournament which includes the MSC and the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The winner of the Unaffiliated Group No. 4 Tournament receives an automatic bid into the NAIA National Championships in May.

KIAC members Brescia University (369) and Asbury University (392) are fourth and fifth respectively following today's round. St. Catharine College (393), Georgetown College (396) and University of Pikeville (400) rounds out the eight-team field.

The final round is scheduled to tee off at 8 a.m. ET on Tuesday at Maywood.
