COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Its won 11 straight games and earned the program's first national ranking, now the 16th ranked Lindsey Wilson baseball team is ready to get back to business in Mid-South Conference play, hosting Pikeville (Ky.) at 6 p.m. CT on Friday for the first of a three-game series at Egnew Park.

Friday's action can be seen watched online through Lindsey Live with video brought to you by iHigh.com. Live stats from the NAIA DakStats page are also available for the single nine-inning contest.

While the Blue Raiders (26-10, 11-4 MSC) are surging ahead towards the end of the regular season, the Bears (8-25, 1-11 MSC) are struggling to find ways to win in league play.

Pikeville's lone MSC win came against Rio Grande (Ohio) 9-7 on March 3. Since then, the Bears have dropped 11 straight in conference play, including three straight series sweeps against, Campbellsville (Ky.), Shawnee State (Ohio) and St. Catharine (Ky.).

Despite the team's record, catcher Luke Wright is still putting together a strong season. The sophomore is batting .342 with 15 RBIs and three doubles. The Bears' pitching staff is led by Chris Noble who is 4-8 with a 6.26 ERA and 33 strikeouts.

Lindsey Wilson -- looking to strengthen its hold on first place in the MSC standings -- is coming off a sweep of Campbellsville over the weekend and 3-2 edging of Indiana Southeast on Tuesday.

Continuing to be a nuisance to opposing pitching staffs are center fielder Manuel Alonso and shortstop Leandro Perez. Alonso leads the Blue Raiders with a .358 batting average and 27 RBIs, while Perez is batting .353 with three home runs, 22 RBIs and 8-for-8 in stolen base attempts.

The Blue Raiders wrap up the series with Pikeville on Saturday with a doubleheader scheduled to start at Noon CT at Egnew Park inside the Lindsey Wilson Sports Park.
