Blue Raiders return to action on March 29-30

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team is No. 23 in the first regular-season edition of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Women's Golf Coaches' Top25 Poll, national office officials announced on Friday.

The Blue Raiders slipped one spot from their No. 22 ranking in the preseason poll after receiving 99 voting points from the national raters.

Lindsey Wilson finished fourth at the Lee University Invitational earlier this week. The Blue Raiders finished behind No. 2-ranked Lee, No. 7-ranked Shorter University and No. 13-ranked University of the Cumberlands.

Oklahoma City University sits atop the poll with 342 voting points including 11 of the 13 first-place votes. Lee is second with 333 voting points and the final two first-place votes.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independents and unaffiliated groups. The next Top-25 poll will be announced on March 20.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on March 29-30 as the Blue Raiders travel to the Southeastern Kentucky Intercollegiate hosted by University of the Cumberlands at Crooked Creek Golf Club.
