Blue Raiders and Bulldogs have met just once, with Union winning in the 2009 national tournament
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- No. 8-seed Lindsey Wilson College earned its way into the NAIA Women's Basketball National Tournament and will be tested right away against top-seeded Union (Tenn.) at 7 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 15 at the Frankfort Convention Center.
The Blue Raiders (20-12) qualified for the postseason as the 15th at-large and are the fifth Mid-South Conference team in the field, which is a conference record and tournament high.
Union (31-2) ended the season with a No. 2 national ranking in the final coaches' poll and qualified for nationals as the TranSouth Athletic Tournament Champion.
This is the second meeting between the two programs all-time with the first coming in the 2009 national tournament in a game Lindsey Wilson lost 80-59 in Jackson, Tenn.
