Women's indoor track & field finishes 25th overall in Geneva, Ohio

GENEVA, Ohio -- Running a school-record 17 minutes and 29.52 seconds in the 5,000-meter run, Lindsey Wilson College's Sharon Ronoh earned All-American honors on Saturday at the NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championships at the SPIRE Institute.

With her finish, Ronoh placed fifth in the event and helped the Blue Raiders finish 25th out of 48 teams with nine points.

Azusa Pacific (Calif.) won the team title with 108 points, while Oklahoma Baptist was just behind with 107.5 points. Wayland Baptist rounded out the top three with 59 points, leaving just over a 48-point gap between second and third.

Ronoh finished seventh in the 5,000-meters last season, crossing the line in 17:34.04, which was the previous school record.

Lindsey Wilson's men also ended their run at the championships on Friday after the race walk. The Blue Raiders finished 21st out of 61 teams on the men's side.
