Both Daniel and Connor Lyle each post first-place finishes in loss

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Connor Lyle finished first in the 200-yard butterfly and Daniel Lyle touched first in the 100-freestyle, but it wasn't enough for the Lindsey Wilson College swimming team as Cumberlands (Ky.) earned a 120-63 dual-meet win on Friday at the Holloway Health and Wellness Center Natatorium.

Also tallying a first-place finishe for the Blue Raiders was the 200-medley relay team as Connor Lyle joined Logan Wetzel, Corey Hall and Johnathan Hindman to finish in one minute and 42.15 seconds.

Connor Lyle's 200-fly win came in 2:02.68 and Daniel Lyle won the 100-free in 50.35 seconds.

Wetzel placed third for the Blue Raiders in the 50-free with a time of 23.24 seconds and Hall was second in the 200-individual medley with a showing of 2:10.23.

Hall was also second in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:05.35 as the Blue Raiders dropped to 5-3 overall in dual meets this season.

Lindsey Wilson is back in the pool at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Ind.
