COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson freshman Stellah Sang has been named Mid-South Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending September 10, 2006, according to the conference.

Sang, a Eldoret, Kenya, native, won the Centre (Ky.) College Invitational over the weekend in her first collegiate race.
Sang ran the 5,000 meter course in 19 minutes and 19 seconds, 37 seconds in front of second place.

The player of the week award is her first of the season and the first of her career.

The Blue Raider harriers return to action at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday, September 16, as Lindsey Wilson travels to the Berea (Ky.) College Invitational.
