Season Ends at 31-3

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The most successful season in Lindsey Wilson College volleyball history ended today with a 3-0 loss at host Taylor (Ind.) University in the NAIA Volleyball National Championship Opening Round.

The Blue Raiders close out their season with a 31-3 record following today's 25-16, 25-13, 25-20 loss. Taylor advances to the final site of the national championship in Sioux City, Iowa.

Lindsey Wilson -- making its first appearance at the national tournament -- had a season-low attacking percentage (-.008) and a season-high 26 hitting errors in a three-set match.

The Blue Raiders' hitting struggles -- Lindsey Wilson failed to reach double-digit kills in any of the three sets -- combined with the Trojans (30-7) solid attacking -- Taylor finished the match hitting .258 -- sealed Lindsey Wilson's fate.

Taylor' Kelsey Pritchard led the hitting attack with 14 kills and a .379 attacking percentage. Ashlyn DeHoogh finished with 10 kills and a .360 attacking percentage. Betsy Brown finished with a match-high 37 assists.

Freshman Taylor Hayne led the Blue Raiders with six kills. Freshman Sierra Wilkerson finished the match with five kills while senior Kayla Koerber and freshmen Sarah Anderson and Kirsten King each chipped in four kills.

Junior setter Andrea Taylor recorded a double-double with 23 assists and 14 digs. Senior Rachael Anderson finished with 15 digs. Anderson concludes her career as the only player in Lindsey Wilson history with more than 2,000 digs. She finishes with 2,045 digs.

The Blue Raiders conclude the 2011 season with a program-record .912 winning percentage.
