BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- Competing in its first tri-meet of the season, the Lindsey Wilson College women's swimming team went 2-1, topping Campbellsville (Ky.) University 51-33 and St. Catharine (Ky.) College 69-2, while losing 81-27 to Union (Ky.) College on Saturday in Barbourville, Ky.
Sarah Wood got the Blue Raiders off to a good start finishing third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of two minutes and 8.11 seconds. Kate Spaulding turned in the first win of the meet in the 100-breasstroke, touching in 1:13.61.
Spaulding won again in the 200-breast with a showing of 2:44.70, while Wood took second in the 500-free with a time of 5:41.04.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 11 a.m. CT on Nov. 19 against Bethel University and Rhodes College in a dual meet at the Holloway Center Natatorium.
