Blue Raiders top St. Catharine 94-11
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's swimming team was edged by host Union (Ky.) College 79-43, but got the best of St. Catharine (Ky.) College 94-11 on Saturday in dual-meet action in Barbourville, Ky.
Freshman Connor Lyle helped Lindsey Wilson earn the split with a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of one minute and 48.40 seconds. Sophomore Corey Hall followed that win up with a first-place finish in the 200-butterfly with a showing of 2:00.64.
Hall was also the winner in the 100-fly with a time of 54.34 seconds to further dominate the event. Freshman Luke Royal and junior Daniel Lyle finished second and third in the 50-freestlye with times of 23.05 and 23.11 seconds, respectively.
Connor Lyle followed up his win with a second-place showing in the 100-free with a time of 49.0 seconds. Sophomore Jonathan Hindman had a strong showing in the 200-individual medley, finishing second in 2:09.62.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 11 a.m. CT on Nov. 19 against Bethel University and Rhodes College in a dual meet at the Holloway Center Natatorium.
