COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson freshman Stellah Sang has been named Mid-South Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending October 1, 2006, according to the conference.

Sang, a Eldoret, Kenya, native, won the Greater Louisville Classic over the weekend for her third consecutive win of the season.Sang ran the 5,000 meter course in 18 minutes and 54 seconds to beat a field of 234 runners. She helped the Blue Raiders to an impressive third place finish on the NAIA National Championship course.

The player of the week award is her third of the season and of her career.

The Blue Raiders return to action at 4:30 p.m. CT on Friday, October 13, as Lindsey Wilson travels to the Wilmington (Ohio) Fall Classic.
