LONDON, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team is fourth following today's first round at the Bill Sergent Invitational hosted by University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) at Crooked Creek Golf Club.

Lindsey Wilson is nine shots out of the lead after the Blue Raiders fired a team total of 303. Host Cumberlands and Lee (Tenn.) University are tied atop the leaderboard following a pair of 294s and Tennessee Wesleyan University is third with a 300.

Lindsey Wilson's Nicolas Navarro shot a team-best one over par 73 and sits tied for fourth overall four shots off Lee's Jeremy Lawson's lead.

LWC's Nathan Clark and Chris Lewis are tied for 21st overall following opening round 76s. Grayson Bills and Dustin Shearer are tied at 38th with 78s. Derek Murphy -- playing as an individual -- is tied for 46th in the 80-man field with a 79.

The final round is scheduled for Friday at Crooked Creek.
