COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Two unexpected pins put the 15th ranked Lindsey Wilson College wrestling team on its back as it failed to keep up with No. 5 Campbellsville (Ky.) University for a 30-12 loss in dual-meet action on Tuesday at Biggers Sports Center.

Freshman Jacob Bradford - ranked fourth at 197 pounds - opened the dual with a 4-2 win over fifth ranked Spencer Adams and newcomer Josh Johnson added a win for Lindsey Wilson (4-4) at 149 pounds over 10th ranked Sam Conners 11-5.

The Blue Raiders also earned six team points after the Tigers forfeited at 165 pounds.

In the second match of the night, holding onto a 3-0 lead, sophomore Teddy Furnish had a win slip away as Campbellsville's Chris Daniels trailed the entire match before pinning Furnish in the third period with 56.4 seconds left on the clock.

Campbellsville (12-3) got another pin at 141 pounds, this one coming much quicker, as top ranked Tommy Pretty got the fall against Isaac Thomas in 54 seconds.

Trailing 19-3 after the Thomas fall, Lindsey Wilson got a quick turnaround after Johnson's win at 149 pounds and the forfeit points to climb back within striking distance in the team score at 23-12.

Needing wins in the final two matches, Taylor Doan and Andrew Hairston couldn't overcome their opponents, allowing Campbellsville to wrap up the win.

Hairston came up just short at 184 pounds, taking Allen Scruggs into overtime, where he lost 2-1 in the sixth period.
