COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Six Lindsey Wilson College tennis student-athletes have earned NAIA national honors, according to the NAIA announced today.
Lindsey Wilson junior Candela Castanon and sophomore Natalia Yakimovich were named women's tennis NAIA First-Team All-American and sophomore Fadzai Mawisire was named Second-Team All-American.
Freshman Jessica Weyreuter was named honorable mention All-American.
The quartet helped the Blue Raiders to a 19-5 record and a national semifinal appearance this season.
Castanon is a three-time First-Team All-American. Yakimovich and Mawisire are two-time All-Americans.
On the men's side, senior Pablo Castanon and freshman Freddy Luciani earned First-Team All-American honors.
The pair helped the Blue Raiders to a 15-6 record on the season, including a quarterfinal appearance in the national tournament.
Castanon is a four-time All-American -- two first-team and two second-team. This is the first national honor for Luciani.
