Cycling placed first, second and third in the women's four cross at the USA Cycling National Championships.

Truckee, Calif. -- Brittany Bates became the first Lindsey Wilson College cyclist to win an individual national championship since 2008 with a first-place finish in the Division I Women's Four Cross at the 2010 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships on Saturday.

Bates took the podium with her teammates as Jessica Cartwright and Stephanie Barragan finished in second and third place, respectively.

Brooke Crum finished in sixth place and Madison Pitts took 22nd place to round out the Blue Raider finishers.

Weston Pope - the last individual national championship winner in 2008 - finished second in the Division I Men's Four Cross, while Jarrod Adcock and Logan Collins finished in third and fourth place, respectively.

Daniel Caluag (33rd place), Brandon Hopkins (38th place) and Taylor Ladd (55­th place) were the final three Lindsey Wilson finishers in the men's four-cross event.

Ladd was the top Blue Raider finisher in the short track portion of the day's events, finishing 12th out of 60 riders. Christopher Bogedin finished in 34th place and Drake Lindsey finished 37th.

The lone Lindsey Wilson women's finisher in short track was Crum in 25th place.
 
As a team the Blue Raiders took the fifth spot in the Division I Team Omnium. Fort Lewis College took the top spot, while the University of Colorado and Lees-McRae College rounded out the top three in second and third place, respectively.
