PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team picked up their first road win of the season tonight with a 3-2 win over Mid-South Conference foe Pikeville (Ky.) College.

The Blue Raiders won the five-game match by scores of 30-25, 25-30, 21-30, 30-20, 15-13. Lindsey Wilson improves to 5-5 on the season with the win and 1-1 in the MSC.

Lindsey Wilson senior Lucy Ng’ang’a led the Blue Raider hitting attack with 27 kills and a .339 hitting percentage. Senior Roxanne Kirchner added 14 kills in the win.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore Kelley Burke set a career-high with 59 assists for the match. Kirchner’s 23 digs led six Blue Raiders who recorded double-digit digs.

Ng’ang’a joined Burke by setting a career-high in blocks with 14-1/2, including 13 solo blocks.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Friday, September 14, as the Blue Raiders face Wayland Baptist (Texas) University in the Texas Wesleyan College Volleyball Classic in Fort Worth, Texas.
