CEDARVILLE, Ohio. -- Nicole Furnish tallied a first-place finish in the 5,000-meter race walk with a time of 25 minutes and 18.98 seconds to help the Lindsey Wilson College women's Track & Field team to a seventh-place finish at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open on Saturday at Cedarville (Ohio) University.

The Blue Raiders collected 48 team points, while host Cedarville took the team title with 136.5 points.

Joining Furnish in the top five of the race walk were Amanda Johnson in fourth place with a time of 26:30.47 and Chelsea Conway placing fifth in 28:14.93.

Sherria Hester crossed the line in 26.62 seconds to take second place in the 200-meter dash and earn eight team points. Hester joined Omni Morgan, Ruth Olson and Kristina Wimsatt in the 4X100-meter relay to take third place with a time of 50.81 seconds, which was a program record.

Wimsatt rounded out the team scoring with a pair of strong performances in the jumping events. Wimsatt cleared 1.43 meters in the high jump to take seventh place and earn a point for the team. Her effort of 5.13 meters in the long jump was good for fourth place and five team points.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 8 a.m. CT on April 3 at the Centre College Invitational in Danville, Ky.
