LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson freshman Stellah Sang became the first Blue Raider woman harrier on Saturday to earn NAIA All-American honors in a decade.

Sang, of Eldoret, Kenya, finished 19th out of 268 runners at the NAIA National Championships, run at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
The race's top 30 finishers earn All-American honors.

Sang's time of 18 minutes, 33.85 seconds over the 3,000 meters is the second best time in the program's history and the best since 1996. Her 19th-place finish is the best finish in the program's history at the national championship.

Minot State (N.D.) University's Genevieve Binsfeld won the national championship with a time of 17:38.20.

Lindsey Wilson freshman Monicah Maiyo -- who along with Sang qualified as individuals based on their time from the regional meet -- finished 174th with a time of 20:08.70.

On the men's side, junior Emmanuel Isanda -- the lone LWC men's qualifier -- finished 99th in a field of 255 with a time of 26:28.45 over 5,000 meters.

Virginia Intermont University's David Cheromei won the national championship with a time of 24:05.15.

Simon Fraser (British Columbia) University won the women's team national championship, while Virginia Intermont won the men's championship.
