FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Six different Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball student-athletes were honored on Wednesday at the annual Mid-South Conference basketball awards banquet held before the conference tournament.

Junior Viktoria Krell was named to the all-conference team, while senior Sierra Rambert and sophomore Lindsey Waters were honorable-mention selections.

Seniors Kristi Apple and Sabrina Manning, along with sophomore Michelle Copley were recognized as Academic All-Conference.

Krell has been an all-conference selection for three straight seasons, all on the first team, including MSC Player of the Year honors last season.

This season Krell leads the team in points (16.9) per game and rebounds (10.2) per game. On Nov. 10, 2009, Krell posted 20 points against Indiana University-Southeast to pass the 1,000 career points mark in just her junior season. Krell also became the first player in program history to record over 900 rebounds in a career this season.

Rambert earns her second straight conference honor, this season an honorable mention, after being named to the first team last year. The senior is averaging 12.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.

Waters -- in her first season with the Blue Raider after transferring from Coastal Carolina (S.C.) University -- earned an honorable-mention spot after averaging 9.9 points and 6.2 rebounds for Lindsey Wilson.

The Academic All-Mid South Conference honors went to student-athletes with a sophomore or higher class standing and 3.25 or above grade-point average.

Campbellsville (Ky.) University's Whitney Ballinger was named the MSC Player of the Year and Georgetown (Ky.) College newcomer Kourtney Tyra took MSC Freshman of the Year honors.

No. 4-seed Lindsey Wilson begins play in the MSC Tournament at Noon CT on Thursday, March 4 against No. 5-seed University of Rio Grande (Ohio) at the Frankfort Civic Center.
