COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Two Lindsey Wilson College Track & Field individuals qualified for the NAIA National Championships this past weekend at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitation.
Lindsey Wilson senior Jamaine Gordon set a new meet record with a jump of 46' 09.75" in the men's triple jump event. Gordon, a Fort Campbell, Kentucky, native, finished first place in the event, and qualified for the NAIA Nationals.
Lindsey Wilson finished third out of six teams in the men's 4x800 meter relay. Junior Emmanuel Isanda, freshman Drake Midgett, and sophomores Tony Perugini and Caleb Lafond finished the event with a time of 8:50.74.
Freshman Amanda Johnson qualified for the NAIA Nationals with a fourth place finish in the women's 3,000 meter race walk. Johnson, a Morganfield, Kentucky, native, finished with a time of 16:55.55 in the event.
Lindsey Wilson finished second out of five teams in the women's 4x800 meter relay. Senior Meagan Crouse, freshman Stellah Sang, and sophomores Cassie Niersel and Marie Coyon anchored the team with a time of 10:04.06, breaking the previous school record by more than 39 seconds.
