COLUMBIA, Ky. - Lindsey Wilson College finished second in the Mid-South Conference President's Cup the conference announced on Saturday.

The President's Cup is a season-long competition that awards points based on regular season finishes in the conference's 17 sports. The Blue Raiders -- who earned 71 points -- finished behind the winner the University of the Cumberlands who had 76.

Georgetown (Ky.) College finished third with 67 points and Campbellsville (Ky.) University was fourth (65 points).

Pikeville (Ky.) College (26), West Virginia University Institute of Technology (21) and St. Catharine (Ky.) College (20) rounded out the seven-institution competition reserved for the conference's full members.

Lindsey Wilson used regular season titles in women's golf, men's soccer, women's soccer, men's tennis and women's tennis to finish second.

"We are extremely proud of all of our student-athletes and coaches for all they do on and off the field of competition," said Lindsey Wilson athletics director Willis Pooler. "The department was very successful in 2008-09 and we look forward to a great year in 2009-10."
