Senior catcher Whitney Mink led the Blue Raiders by reaching base three times against Georgetown.

GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team lost 5-4 in nine innings against Georgetown (Ky.) College today and was eliminated from the Mid-South Conference Softball Tournament.

The Blue Raiders (26-20) suffered their second heart-breaking defeat in as many days. On Friday, Lindsey Wilson lost to top-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) University 1-0.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore pitcher Olivia Holland (12-13) was the tough luck loser throwing 8-2/3 innings allowing five runs -- three earned -- while striking out two.

The start was Holland's third in the past two days.

Georgetown (29-8-1) used four different pitchers to pick up the victory. Victoria Witt picked up the win throwing 3-1/3 innings in relief.

In her final game as a Blue Raider, catcher Whitney Mink collected two hits, walked, scored a run and stole two bases. Mink -- who is ranked in the top 10 in every offensive category in the history of the program -- certainly left her mark at Lindsey Wilson.

Freshman third baseman Caren Alexander was the only other Blue Raider to join Mink with multiple hits. Alexander laced a double which drove in two runs, she also scored once.

Lindsey Wilson did not help its own cause as they committed five errors in the game.
