The Lindsey Wilson senior class of 2009 was honored before today's double header against Cumberlands.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College baseball team was swept in a doubleheader against the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) today at Blue Raider Field.

In game one, Cumberlands (28-14, 14-8 in the Mid-South Conference) scored three runs early and held off a late Lindsey Wilson rally to pick up the win 6-4.

Lindsey Wilson pitcher Cody Wales (2-3) threw six innings allowing five earned runs in the loss. Outfielders Nathan Bray and Dustin Murphy, third baseman Max Rhodes and catcher Justin Tucker all collected two hits each. Tucker homered and drove in two runs.

In game two, Lindsey Wilson (15-21, 7-14) gave up four runs in the fourth inning en route to the 6-1 defeat.

Pitcher Luis Parra (5-3) threw seven innings allowing six runs -- five earned -- and struck out six. Bray continued his hot hitting collecting his fourth straight two hit game.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT tomorrow as the Blue Raiders travel to play Cumberland (Tenn.) University.

*Prior to the doubleheader six graduating seniors were honored for their hard work and dedication to the baseball program. Outfielders Matt Scoggins and Brandon Tucker joined Bray along with first baseman Daniel Eck and pitcher Jeremy Ezell.
