COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College baseball team was swept in a doubleheader against the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) today at Blue Raider Field.

Cumberlands (26-14, 12-8 in the Mid-South Conference) used six runs in the first three innings and held on to win game one 11-6.

Lindsey Wilson pitcher Max Rhodes (3-4) threw six innings allowing eight runs -- six earned -- to pick up the loss. Outfielder Nathan Bray and third baseman Zach Pritchard collected two hits each. Pritchard drove in three runs.

In game two, Lindsey Wilson (15-19, 7-12) gave up three runs in the first inning and Cumberlands scored four more to get the victory 7-4.
 
Pitcher Derek Cape (2-3) threw five innings allowing three earned runs and struck out five.  Bray and Pritchard stayed hot collecting two more hits each.
 

Prior to the game Lindsey Wilson honored the family of former baseball player Daniel Rector who tragically passed away last year. Todd Rector -- Daniel's father -- threw a perfect strike.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action for senior day at Noon CT tomorrow as the Blue Raiders host the University of the Cumberlands for a doubleheader at Raider Field.
