COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College has signed Rachel Anderson to a NAIA volleyball scholarship, the school announced Tuesday.

Anderson helped Lexington Lafayette Senior High School to a 22-11 record during her senior season. She was selected first team all-city and All 41st District.

"We are very excited about Rachel's addition to our team," Lindsey Wilson volleyball coach Chuck Amshoff said. "She has excellent ball handling skills and is very effective on the outside. I look for her to be an asset on defense."

The 5-foot-8 defensive specialist was selected all-city, all-district and to the 11th Region all-tournament team during her junior season.

In addition to playing for Lafayette, Anderson is also a member of the Thoroughbred Elite Volleyball Alliance (TEVA) volleyball club in Lexington.
