EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Lindsey Wilson College junior Koji Hashiyama finished 18th in the men's marathon at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
Hashiyama finished the grueling 26-mile, 58-man race with a time of 2 hours, 38 minutes, 40 seconds.
Hashiyama's time fell a minute shy of the program record of 2:37:48 set in 1995.
California State University San Marcos' Juan Mejia won the men's marathon national title with a time of 2:27:44.
The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team did not score during the championships. The Blue Raider women finished tied for 57th with one point.
