LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College has signed Alyca Morrison to a NAIA volleyball scholarship, the school announced Tuesday.

The Lexington, Ky., native, will join the Blue Raider program for the 2008-09 season.

Morrison, an outside hitter, helped lead Lafayette High School to a 26-10 record her senior season and was selected all-city, all-district and all-region.

She was also selected to the 2008 Tournament of Champions All Tournament team.

Morrison also helped lead Lafayette High to a 32-2 record during her sophomore season, including a trip to the final four.

"I think the size of the campus and the personality of the volleyball program will be a good mesh for me," Morrison said. "I expect to learn a lot from Coach Amshoff and the professors at Lindsey Wilson. I'm very excited about this opportunity to grow and develop on the court and in the classroom."

The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team finished the 2007-08 season 15-24 overall and 6-4 in the Mid-South Conference.
