CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College signed Chris Colvin to a NAIA men's track and field scholarship, the school announced on Monday.
The Campbellsville, Ky., native, will join the Blue Raiders in the 2008-09 school year.
Colvin earned the Most Valuable Sprinter award and helped his relay team place first in the 4x400 meter relay in the Heartland Conference while at Taylor County High.
"I'm very excited to have the opportunity to further my education and run at the collegiate level," Colvin said. "I think Lindsey Wilson will be a great to place for me to excel as a student and a runner."
"I am looking forward to coaching a fellow hurdler and I know he is a high potential athlete," Lindsey Wilson track & field coach Edwin Hagans said. "Chris is academically sound and will help the team in many ways."
Lindsey Wilson College track & field returns to action May 20-24, as the Blue Raiders travel to St. Louis, Mo. to compete in the NAIA National Championships.
