COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's track & field team signed Antonette Dorsey to a NAIA scholarship, the school announced on Thursday.
"Antonette will be a great asset to our program. She will no doubt add another dimension to the team," Lindsey Wilson track and field coach Edwin Hagans said. "Her personality fits well with our current team and I am looking forward to coaching and testing her potential."
Dorsey, a Fort Campbell, Ky., native, will join the Blue Raiders in the 2008-09 school year.
"I really like the small campus and atmosphere at Lindsey Wilson," Dorsey said. "Everyone is friendly and really helpful."
Dorsey helped her Fort Campbell High School relay team set the 4x800 meter relay school record with a time of nine minutes and 57 seconds in the 4 x 8 relays her senior season.
"Lindsey Wilson has a great track and field program with great runners," Dorsey said. "I hope to improve my times and look forward to learning a lot from Coach Hagans."
The Lindsey Wilson College track & field team returns to action on Saturday, April 26, as the Blue Raiders travel to Williamsburg, Ky. to compete in the Mid-South Conference Championships hosted by the University of the Cumberlands.
