RICHMOND, Ky. -- A pair of program records fell on Friday as the Lindsey Wilson College women's track and field team competed in the Eastern Kentucky University Open.
Lindsey Wilson College senior Amber Cannon broke her own program record in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.41 seconds. The Bowling Green, Ky., native, beat her previous mark by .23 seconds.
Cannon finished second in the event.
The Lindsey Wilson 4x100 relay team produced the second program record of the day with a time of 51:57. The new mark bested the previous record by .22.
In addition to the school records, sophomore Kristina Wimsatt earned a top-five finish in the long jump. Wimsatt's jump of 5.20 meters was good enough for fourth.
Due to timing errors during the event, no team scores were released.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday, April 26, as the Blue Raiders travel to the Mid-South Conference Championships in Williamsburg, Ky.
