COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College sophomore Jessica Smith has been named Mid-South Conference women's golfer of the week for the week ending April 13.

Smith captured her first collegiate tournament in her first Lindsey Wilson start at the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Spring Invitational at Crooked Creek Golf Club in London, Ky.

The Louisville native won shot a two-over par 75 to win the one-day event by five strokes over her nearest competitor.

The MSC Golfer of the Week award is the first of Smith's career and the second straight for a Lindsey Wilson golfer.

The No. 8-ranked Blue Raiders captured the Cumberlands Spring Invitational with a team-total of 340.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 22-23 as the Blue Raiders travel to the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament hosted by Georgetown (Ky.) College at Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown.
