New Albany, Ind. -- Lindsey Wilson College volleyball has signed Kayla Koerber to a NAIA scholarship, the school announced Thursday.
The Floyds Knobs, Ind., native, joins the Blue Raiders for the 2008-09 school year.
Koerber, an outside hitter, helped lead Christian Academy High to a 14-12 record during her senior season.
"We are extremely excited about Kayla's addition," Lindsey Wilson volleyball coach Chuck Amshoff said. "She is a great asset to the team as she will add versatility to the middle and outside hitter positions. She has a great feel for the game that will help us immediately."
During her senior season, Koerber was named her team's most valuable player and earned the Christian Leadership Award. She was also the team captain and led her team in kills.
"I really like the small campus; the people are all very warm and friendly," Koerber said. "This is a wonderful opportunity for me to continue to improve each year on the court and in the classroom."
In addition to playing at Christian Academy, Koerber is also a member of the Union Volleyball Club in New Albany.
Lindsey Wilson finished the 2007 season with a 15-24 record, reaching the Mid-South Conference Tournament semifinals.
