Owensboro, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College has signed Samantha Camp to a NAIA volleyball scholarship, the school announced Thursday.
Camp helped lead Apollo High School to a 23-17 record during her senior season, including runner-up finishes in the 8th District and 3rd Region Tournaments.
"Samantha is a great, versatile player that has the ability to attack from several positions," Lindsey Wilson volleyball coach Chuck Amshoff said. "She continues to get stronger everyday and has an amazing desire to be the best she can be both on the court and in the classroom."
Camp, an outside hitter, was a two-year letter winner at Apollo. She earned All District and All Region Player of the Year and led her team in kills during her final season.
"I look forward to ultimately earning my degree and playing a vital role in the growth and success of the Lindsey Wilson volleyball program," Camp said. "This is a great opportunity for me to grow as a student-athlete. I expect to learn a lot from Coach Amshoff and my experience at Lindsey Wilson."
The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team finished the 2007-08 season 15-24 overall and 6-4 in the Mid-South Conference.
