COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team split a pair today at Joe Johnson Field in the Lindsey Wilson - Campbellsville University Classic.

The Blue Raiders dropped a 4-3 decision to Madonna (Mich.) University in Sunday's opener and beat University of Virginia-Wise 4-2 in the final game of the classic.

Madonna's Ashley Shay's two-run inside-the-park home run capped a 4-3 comeback win.

Senior Danielle Clark suffered the loss allowing four runs on nine hits while striking out three Crusaders. Lindsey Wilson senior Shayla Cain and junior Whitney Mink each hit a home run in the game to lead the Blue Raiders offensively.

In the nightcap, Cain hit her second home run of the day and sophomore Amelia Wright drove in a pair to lift the Blue Raiders to a 4-2 win.

Lindsey Wilson senior pitcher Leigh Ann Moore hurled the complete game win allowing two runs on four hits. Moore struck out eight Wise hitters.
