LEITCHFIELD, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College signed Devon Dunn to a NAIA women's golf scholarship, the school announced on Monday.

The Leitchfield, Ky., native, joins the Blue Raiders for the 2008-09 school year.

“I really like the small campus and close-knit community,” said Dunn, “The friendly people make Lindsey Wilson special and this is a great opportunity for me to earn my degree and improve as a golfer.”

The Grayson County product has qualified for the regional tournament every season of her high school career.

“We’re excited about Devon joining our program,” Lindsey Wilson women’s coach Chris Wells said. “She has the potential to be a very good golfer and the work ethic to reach her goals on the collegiate level.”

The Lindsey Wilson women’s golf team is currently ranked No. 5 in the NAIA. The Blue Raiders won three of four events during the fall season and finished fifth in their first spring meet held in Savannah, Ga. earlier this month.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on March 27-28 as they participate in the Campbellsville (Ky.) University Spring Invitational held at Maywood Golf Course in Bardstown, Ky.
