ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men’s outdoor track & field team finished 19th over the weekend at the Emory (Ga.) University Invitational.

The Blue Raiders scored five team points in the 21-team field. Host Emory won the event with 91 points.

Lindsey Wilson senior Zanman Graham led the Blue Raiders scoring four total points in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. Graham, a Munfordville, Ky., native, finished in seventh place for two points in each event.

In the 200-meter dash, Graham ran a 22.68-second race to finish seventh in the 46-man event. Emory senior Fred Linton won the event with a time of 21.72. Graham ran the 400-meter dash in a time of 51.25. Thiel College’s Alex Eaton won the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.11.

Lindsey Wilson freshman Christopher Kipchirchir earned the final Blue Raider point with an eighth place finish in the 800-meter run.

Kipchirchir finished with a time of 1:57.73 in the 45-man field.

Lindsey Wilson senior Cody Brooks just missed scoring in the hammer throw but managed to break a school record in the event.

The Caneyville, Ky. native, finished 11th in the 23-man event with a throw of 39.01 meters (128 feet). Brooks beat the previous record of 38.91 meters set in 2003.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 5 as the Blue Raiders travel to the Oliver Nikoloff Open in Cincinnati, Ohio.
