ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women’s track & field team finished 17th over the weekend at the Emory (Ga.) University Invitational.

The Blue Raiders scored seven team points in the 18-team field. Jacksonville State University won the event with 124 points.

Lindsey Wilson senior Marie Coyon earned four points to lead the Blue Raiders

Coyon finished fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12 minutes and 14.43 seconds. Cedarville University junior Elisabeth Pyles won the event in 11:06.48.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore Kristina Wimsatt captured the remaining three points with her sixth place finish in the long jump.

Wimsatt jumped 4.91 meters (16-1.5 feet) in the 25-woman field. Jacksonville State sophomore Takisha Parham won the event with a jump of 5.59 meters (18-4.25 feet).
