KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team fell to No. 3 in the latest NAIA Women's Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday.
The Blue Raiders received three first-place votes and 568 points in this week's poll. Lindsey Wilson went 1-1 last week, losing to NCAA Division II Lee (Tenn.) University 2-1 and defeating Shawnee State (Ohio) 8-1. The Blue Raiders continue to record the most consecutive weeks in the Top 25 with 154 straight appearances.
Vanguard (Calif.) is one of three undefeated teams left in the NAIA and received 10 first-place votes and received 575 points to claim the No. 1 spot in this week's top-25 poll. Embry-Riddle (Fla.) received eight first-place votes and 571 points to stay at No. 2 in the poll.
Concordia (Ore.) stayed put, receiving 536 points to remain No. 4 in this week's Top 25. Northwood (Fla.) received 511 points and remained No. 5 in the weekly poll.
The Mid-South Conference has one other team in the top 25, Cumberland (Tenn.) who moved up two spots to No. 13 this week after receiving 346 points
The newest entrant into the coaches' poll is Oklahoma City who is No. 24 after receiving 114 points. The biggest drop came from Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) who fell from No. 8 to No. 19.
