COLUMBIA, Ky. –On the heels of a 7-3 season, the Lindsey Wilson College football team received votes in the final NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll released on Sunday.
The Blue Raiders received six voting points from the panel of coaches that makes up the national raters to end as one of three teams in the receiving votes category.
Marian (Ind.) University is the top-ranked team in the national poll with 339 voting points and 13 of the 15 first place votes. Carroll (Mont.) College is second with 323 voting points and the final two first-place votes. Georgetown (Ky.) College is third with 317 voting points.
Lindsey Wilson closed the 2011 season in a second place tie in the MSC East Division standings with a 3-2 record after last Saturday's 48-15 win over UVa.-Wise at Blue Raider Stadium.
