Rhodes Bell finished as the national runner-up at the NAIA Wrestling National Championships at 174 pounds. Bell won his first match 12-3 in a major decision then advanced to the quarterfinals with a 7-3 victory over No. 10-seeded Randy Keesler. Bell upset second-seeded Dylan Blackford 5-3 in extra time. He then picked up a 3-2 victory in the semifinals before falling in the championship match 3-2 to top-seeded Lawton Benna.

Dondre Mimms earned won three times during the Mid-South Conference Championship, to earn first-team all-conference in each event. He won the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash and he was part of the winning 4x100-meter relay team. Mimms set a program record in the 200-meter dash for the second-straight day with a national "A" standard time of 21.19 seconds. He ran 49.38 seconds in the 400-meter dash.
